What is ANA Doing?
The American Nurses Association has been a driving force in gathering data to make the case for safe staffing plans. ANA is active in tracking and identifying nursing-sensitive indicators and their effects on the quality of nursing care.
ANA is also fighting to make safe staffing legislation a reality. ANA advocates for legislation that would hold hospitals accountable for the development and implementation of unit-by-unit staffing systems that ensure appropriate staffing levels for quality patient care.
